I recently did a one week long motorcycle camping trip and used this mug to drink coffee, tea and soup from. It worked really well. Although for some reason there is a distinct popping sound when you fill it with hot liquid and again when it cools down. I put it down to the metal expanding and contracting. Other than that it did its job admirably
